Varian AA240 / SpectrAA AAS Service & Repair
Varian / Agilent AA240 / AA240FS / AA220 / SpectrAA · Repair · Calibration · AMC · Pan-India courier support

Varian SpectrAA and AA-series atomic absorption spectrophotometers — now under the Agilent name — are among the most reliable AAS platforms ever built, which is why so many Indian labs still run AA220 and AA240 systems long after factory support ended. We service the full range: flame ignition failures, gas-box faults, monochromator drives, hollow-cathode lamp alignment and the electronics behind them, with revived instruments running in university and industrial labs across the country.
Common Varian / Agilent AA240 / AA240FS / AA220 / SpectrAA Problems We Fix
- No flame ignition, or flame goes out immediately after ignition
- Gas-box errors — air/acetylene flow or safety interlock faults
- Lamp not recognised, low lamp energy, or alignment failures
- Poor absorbance sensitivity or calibration curves that will not linearise
- Monochromator wavelength drive errors
- Burner, spray chamber and nebuliser blockages or corrosion
How Our Service Works
- Telephonic diagnosis of ignition, gas and optics faults
- On-site service across South India, or lab repair with courier logistics
- Gas-box, ignition and safety-interlock repair with leak testing

Frequently Asked Questions
Our AA240 gets no flame ignition — the same fault another vendor called a lamp problem. Is it?
Ignition faults are usually in the gas box, igniter or safety interlocks, not the lamp. We diagnose the actual subsystem before replacing anything — a recent University of Madras instrument written off with a 'lamp fault' turned out to be a repairable board failure.
Are spares still available for discontinued Varian models?
We maintain and source spares for the SpectrAA / AA-200 series, and where an original part is unavailable we repair at component level instead.
Do you provide AMC for AAS instruments?
Yes — AMC with scheduled preventive maintenance, burner/nebuliser cleaning and sensitivity verification keeps flame AAS systems dependable through the year.
