• Hollow-cathode lamp not recognised — turret contact or lamp-supply fault; we align and verify lamp energy after repair.
• Sensitivity far below the cookbook value — blocked nebuliser, misaligned burner or dirty optics; restored and verified with standard solutions.
• Graphite furnace temperature or tube errors — GFA contacts and controller service, with furnace temperature calibration.
